Tie-Out Press
One download, identical for every tier. Overtime-Kit-TY2026.xlsx is the working file: 21 sheets, 60,400 formula cells, 443 named ranges, and every legal constant held as a named range on the Lookups sheet beside its citation. Overtime-Kit-TY2026-rules.pdf is the rules reference, with all fifteen documented assumptions reproduced in full. The Qualified Overtime Spot Check is one HTML file for one employee and one workweek. The constants file, ty2026.json, ships with them. Every download also carries LICENSE.txt, the license terms, and README.txt, which says what each file in the package is for. The method memo is not a file in the download. The workbook generates it from the client's own setup, stating the method applied and the constants it ran on.
The variant name on your Lemon Squeezy receipt, Single practice, Firm or Unlimited, is the only record of the tier. Each tier licenses one practice, never a seat. Single practice covers up to 10 client EINs. Firm covers one firm, every office and every member of staff, up to 50. Unlimited has no cap, across entities under common control. A client EIN is one EIN you prepare W-2s for in the tax year, so a client with two EINs counts as two and a client you do not file for counts as none. The cap is a term of the license, and nothing in the files enforces it.
The About sheet has two input cells, "Licensed to" and "Order number", and both arrive empty. Fill them from your receipt. Every method memo the workbook generates prints what you typed there at its head, so a memo in a client's working papers shows which practice produced it. In the free sample both cells read "SAMPLE - not licensed for client work", and the memo it produces says so.
A mid-season upgrade costs the difference between the two tier prices and nothing more: $150 from Single practice to Firm, $200 from Firm to Unlimited, $350 from Single practice to Unlimited. Write to support@tieoutpress.com with your order number and the tier you need, and the reply tells you how to pay the difference. The files do not change, since every tier ships the same workbook. What changes is the license you hold.
Fifteen days, a full refund, and no reason required. Write to support@tieoutpress.com with your order number. A refund request counts from the day it arrives here, whichever day of the week that is. You do not have to justify the request, and we will not ask you to.
The workbook has no macros, no add-ins, no external connections and no hidden sheets, and it makes no network request. Nothing in it is newer than Excel 2016, so it opens there and survives a Google Sheets import. The spot check is one HTML file with no CDN, no fonts and no analytics, and it makes zero network requests after it has loaded. Your receipt carries a license key. Nothing reads it, and no key is ever checked: a check would take the network request the workbook does not make, and never will. Client data stays on your machine. No form on this site asks for anything but an email address, and the spot check page, which takes one employee's week of payroll figures, makes no network request after it loads, so nothing typed there leaves your browser.
The kit does not connect to payroll software and does not import any vendor's figure. It reads the hours and earning lines you export and computes its own figure, workweek by workweek, with an exception log that names each rule that fired and a method memo that states the method applied. Comparing that figure with the one your software reports is your step, and the working paper is what you hold at the end of it. The free payroll-vendor documentation map at https://tieoutpress.com/payroll-vendor-map.html records what seven vendors' own pages say, and do not say, about the code TT figure, quoted and dated. It makes no claim about how any product behaves, and neither does this page.
Updates for this edition are included through the filing deadline, and every update carries a dated row on the workbook's Version sheet stating what changed and whether any figure changed. Later tax-year editions are a separate purchase. Two records exist, and they record different things. The workbook's Version sheet lists each workbook version, with the constants and engine behind it, and a corrected figure appears there as a dated row like any other update. The site's changelog at https://tieoutpress.com/changelog.html records, with dates, changes to the statute or to IRS guidance, including the Form W-2 instructions, that bear on the 2026 code TT figure. It also records vendor-page sentences that differ from the primary sources, each re-issue of the payroll-vendor map, and new versions of the kit. In its own words, nothing there says how any payroll product behaves.
Through the errata list, and a purchase does not add you to it. This list sends two things: a figure in a released edition turned out to be wrong, and a new tax-year edition is out. Nothing else. The form is on https://tieoutpress.com/overtime-kit.html. It takes an email address and no other field, and nothing follows the confirmation email until you click the link in it. The link at the foot of any message ends it. If a figure in this kit turns out to be wrong, that is where you hear it, in writing, with the correction.
No accountant has reviewed the method. The author is not a CPA and not an enrolled agent, and no reviewer is named here, because naming one who has not reviewed would be worth less than nothing to you. What stands in place of a credential is material you can check before you pay: a sample workbook with twelve answers you can work by hand against a published key, and formulas that are unlocked and readable, each constant beside its citation. Provenance travels with the files. The version and its date are printed on the workbook's About and Version sheets and, under the Tie-Out Press imprint, in the rules PDF and on the spot check, and both change records above are public.
Write to support@tieoutpress.com with a subject line that starts FIGURE CHECK. Say where the figure appears, by sheet and row, and which workbook version you are on; the About sheet shows it. Describe the case with invented names and amounts, and never attach client files or employee data. Those messages are read first. Support mail is answered once a week, in one batch, with a reply within seven days. We can answer questions about the workbook and the sources it cites. We cannot advise on a particular client's facts.

Not a substitute for professional advice. The Qualified Overtime Kit is a calculation and documentation tool. It is not tax advice, not legal advice, not accounting advice and not payroll advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who has reviewed your client's particular facts.
Overtime, regular-rate and tip-credit rules vary by state and by the terms of an individual's employment, including collective bargaining agreements and written pay arrangements. You are responsible for confirming which rules apply to each client and for reviewing all output before you rely on it or file it.

No outcome is promised. We do not warrant that the kit is accurate for any particular set of facts, we cannot say how any authority will treat a figure it produces, and nothing here promises that a penalty, an audit or an assessment will be avoided.
What this site records about you. There is no analytics script, no pixel
and no beacon on this page, and it loads nothing from any other site. This page has no form,
so it makes no request after it has loaded. Requests to it are counted at Cloudflare's edge,
on the request already being served: the path, the host of the referring site (never the
referring address itself), the two-letter country the edge attaches, and the source tag if
the link you followed carried one. Your IP address is not in that record, in any form, and
neither is your browser's user agent. The counter is worker/index.js;
tools/verify_edge_instrumentation.py runs it and fails the build if a row ever
carries an address.
Tie-Out Press publishes the Qualified Overtime Kit, which reconciles the qualified overtime figure an employer reports in box 12 of the W-2, under code TT. It is a calculation tool, not tax or legal advice.
